Founded by Jamie and Taylor, Pella Skin Apothecary sits on Main Street in downtown of quaint and charming Pella, IA. - home to 10,000 residents, Central College and the Tulip Festival.

While working together at Pella Regional Health Center, the two became fast friends over their shared interest in the medical field and aesthetics. They began studying the art of aesthetics, sharing their knowledge with each other and eventually, a dream.

Having similar values, beliefs, faith, work ethic and humor (super important), they came to the realization, together they could make it work.

They went directly to working, honing their craft, attending Revive Aesthetics Academy to study injectables and fillers and started hosting parties. The success of the parties led to the establishment 700 Main Street Suit #105.

Jamie is a board-certified family nurse practitioner, and the owner of Pella Skin Apothecary. She has 30 years of health care experience in a variety of settings including, obstetrics, emergency department, cardiology, urgent care, and internal medicine.

She is a dedicated health care professional who cares immensely about her patients’ physical, spiritual, social, and psychological well-being. She has completed both in-person, and virtual training in Botox, and dermal fillers. She believes that skin care is not only important for your physical health, but also improves your self-worth, and confidence.

Personally, Jamie is happily married to Dan Amble, and they have seven children, and one grandson. When she is not working, you will find her at her kids sporting events, Iowa Wild hockey games, the local farmers market, or hosting gatherings to showcase her love of cooking. She is a member of St John’s Lutheran Church, and has a strong love for our creator.

Taylor has a passion for helping those achieve their skincare goals. Her love for skincare grew as she began to learn more about acne treatments throughout her teenage years. She shares a love for wellness, health, and aesthetics. Growing up in Pella, Taylor has always cherished the community.

From a young age, she has felt the support of Pella and has continued to see it throughout Skin Apothecary’s growth. Taylor is married to Chandler. Together they enjoy boating at the Lake of the Ozarks, traveling, watching movies, going on walks outside, and playing games.

Restore Health Collaborative offers individuals the opportunity to receive laboratory wellness screens at an affordable price. Wellness Laboratory Testing allows the individual to manage their health and health concerns. Testing in not meant as a substitute for regular medical care; it is a quick, easy, and inexpensive way for people to receive wellness laboratory test results. Semaglutide is a once weekly glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) injection. This medication improves glycemic control and delays gastric emptying. This results in decreased appetite, reduction of food cravings, and improved control of eating. This peptide is well studied and is successful at decreasing HbA1c in those with diabetes and is associated with weight loss.

Semaglutide helps to keep your blood sugar low, to allow fat burning to happen while also slowing gastric emptying to aid in keeping you feeling fuller longer. Semaglutide is in a class of medicines called incretin mimetics which work by helping the pancreas to correctly release insulin when blood sugar levels are high. Insulin helps move glucose from the blood into the tissue around the body, which is then used for energy.

Pellet therapy is not new. Hormone replacement using pellet implants has been used with great success in the U.S., Europe and Australia since 1939. In fact, they were a very popular mode of hormone administration in the U.S. until the 1970s when many oral and topical commercial products were developed.

Hormone pellets contain plant hormones identical to our own hormones and cannot be patented, so they have been ignored by the major pharmaceutical firms. Clinical studies during the past decade have proven the superiority of pellet therapy and the remarkable effect it has had on the men and women who use it, without the side effects of synthetic drugs.

Pellet therapy uses bio-identical, all natural estrogen and testosterone, delivered by tiny pellets inserted just under the skin. Botox, Dysport, Jeaveau, and Xeomin are injectable medications called neuromodulators or neurotoxins. They work by interrupting the signals from your brain telling specific muscles to contract. Less muscle movement means fewer “expressive wrinkles”- the lines which form when you frown, squint, raise your eyebrows, and smile.

Dysport is primarily used for correcting glabellar lines, the frown lines between your eyebrows. Dysport is a great option for those who have moderate to severe frown lines.

Xeomin is another botulinum type A drug on the market. It was FDA-approved in 2010 and explicitly targeted frown lines. Frown lines are those wrinkles and folds that form on the forehead and between the eyebrows (called glabellar lines which can look like an ’11’) due to constant squinting or frowning. These wrinkles often extend to the eyes and are called Crow’s Feet. By injecting a set amount of Xeomin around these areas, women and men alike can enjoy smoother, wrinkle-free skin for several months.

Neurotoxin is approved for patients who are 18 years or older. The product is primarily known for the ability to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles. If you want to prevent the earliest fine lines from becoming full-blown wrinkles than experts agree that patients in their mid to late 20s and early 30s are at a good age for preventative treatment.
